If you choose wood, this item is protected with a sealant making it water resistant (not water proof), so it is reccomended that this be placed in a protected space (Under an awning, etc). If you choose acrylic, than it can be placed anywhere.

Also, wood tends to have natural variations, and plywood in particular, but rest assured that I use good quality plywood, and that it is double sided with the species of wood that you have ordered. All items are laser cut and so there may be minor chips, smudges, and imperfections in your engraving, this adds to the character of the piece.
